CONSULTATIONS

Consultations

If you'd like a consultation with our biochemist about your horse, all we ask is that you fill out, and return, our Equine Case History Questionnaire. You can provide any test results you may have regarding: water quality, veterinary diagnosis and/or laboratory tests, etc.

HAIR ANALYSIS

Hair Analysis & Systemic Element Levels Testing

Our biochemist has chosen Doctors Data, Inc. to provide our customers with hair elements analysis. With a solid reputation, they have been our laboratory of choice since 1979. Doctors Data has recently described this particular test as:

A measurement of toxic and essential elements

Inexpensive and noninvasive

Extensive research has established that scalp hair element levels are related to human systemic levels. The strength of this relationship varies for specific elements, and many researchers consider hair as the tissue of choice for toxic and several nutrient elements. Unlike blood, hair element levels are not regulated by homeostatic mechanisms. Thus, deviations in hair element levels often appear prior to overt symptoms, and hair analysis can thereby be a valuable preliminary tool for predicting the development of physiological abnormalities.

Instructions:
The volume of, at least, one packed tablespoon of hair is required to complete analysis. Hair samples taken from the chest of animals and back of the head on humans are preferable.

Send your sample and contact information via USPS to our headquaters, and we'll send it to our lab at a bundled rate to briing you the best possible price on the highest quality analysis.

OUR APPROACH

Only Pure Nutrients to Maintain and Improve Health on a Biochemical Level

Vita Royal Products Inc. was established in 1977 in response to the recycled contaminants in food act that was passed in the same year. This act allowed, and continues to allow, the recycling of heavy metals and hazardous chemical waste into fertilizers that supply nutrients for the crops that feed our animals and, in some cases, people as well. These toxins are absorbed into the crops and thus deposited into the animals who eat the processed version(s) of these crops.

Our goal has always been to provide a healthier option for these animals, be they performance horses, pets, cows or chickens for slaughter.

Why Our Products Are Superior to the Competition

We use only pharmaceutical grade ingredients (USP), which are the absolute highest quality ingredients available in the world.

We do not make any products which contain fillers, so a little goes a long way.

All of our products are formulated so that the bioavailability of each ingredient is maximized.

Most importantly, our products work to restore normal, healthy biochemistry; from performance horses to seemingly hopeless and dire cases.

Aggressive Antibiotic Drug Theropy vs. A Holistic Approach - by Linsey McLean

The SWAT Team and the Carpenders

As far as using conventional antibiotic drug therapies for Environmental Parasitic Disease Syndrome are concerned, I can say with confidence that, in the majority of cases, I think it is an unnecessary expense and probably not needed. Even our mainstream veterinary community is beginning to admit this in spite of the funding they receive from drug companies to test and tout their wares. At this writing, after years of drug testing and various protocols, no drug therapy has yet shown a high enough percentage of efficacy to be approved by the FDA.

Vita Royal's program was developed in response to a need to help those horses who had not responded to long term antibiotic drug therapy and/or repeated therapies, even using different drugs or combinations of drugs or drug dosages. In these cases, the debilitation progressed onward and the horses continued to decline, all at many thousands of dollars expense to the owner, who still did not have a horse with a functional and successful return to service.

Obviously this shows either the lack of target organism(s) response and/or a buildup of immunity and lack of toxicity to the target organism or organisms-neither of which will be enhanced with a nutritional protocol such as this one. In other words, drug therapy itself will not be enhanced by the nutritional support of this program.

There are even several reasons to believe that this nutritional approach may INHIBIT the toxicity of the antibiotic drugs toward target organisms. Stimulation and normalization of a lowered basal metabolism will shorten clearance time of the drugs by the liver, making the body more effective in processing, breaking down, and eliminating the drugs more quickly. Lowered basal metabolism is the signature most always present in environmentally compromised individuals.

This means that the drugs would have less time in the body in their original state to do their job against the organisms-to which immunity may already be a problem. Other toxic natural metabolites that may be adding to the situation and biochemical problem are also more quickly detoxified.

TARGETING THE BUMS ON THE STREET

A good analogy of this whole syndrome is to think of the "bugs" as "bums on the street." Normally, if you keep your house in good repair and you live there, " bums" don't just invade your house to live there with you. They are not normally that aggressive, but just hang out anywhere there is the opportunity. In the course of normal life, your house will suffer storm damage as well as the weathering of time, or aging. If you do not keep up with repairs, these damages will feed on one another: rodents will enter openings left by storms and weathering to cause even more damage, as will the elements now entering through broken windows or cracked roofs from fallen trees, etc. Sooner or later, your house will become uninhabitable to you, but not to the "bums from the street" who soon spot the opportunity--that word again--and rush to claim the uninhabited house.

Now, we have a new problem, and we have essentially two options. We can send in the police to kick 'em out, but that won't last long. It's just too expensive to pay a police squad to guard a broken down old house. The same goes for sending progressively more severe firepower in, like a swat team to "shoot 'em ' up with bigger guns and better ammo. But with each "shoot-'em-up" episode, there are even more damages to the structure of the house, and more bills to the house owner, still paying taxes on a house he can't use.

SEND IN THE CARPENTERS, NOT THE SWAT TEAM...

The sensible answer to this problem is to either destroy the house totally, if it is not worth fixing, or rebuild and repair it if it is.Then one fact becomes clearly understood--that a team of good quality carpenters don't very well coexist with a SWAT team, both trying to do their jobs at the same time, in the same place! Just think about it. (SWAT teams don't clean up their messes, either!)

Generally, when carpenters move in to begin repairs, the bums move out. They realize that their opportunity is gone, and they must look around for some other dilapidated house to move into. Soon, as carpenters repairs rebuild the house, you can move back in again. Hopefully, you will have learned your lesson on keeping things up so that this scenario won't have to be repeated.

Isn't this beginning to sound familiar? This house is the living body, be it human or animal, and these "bums from the street" are all those opportunistic organisms, just watching and waiting for a debilitating factor to tear down the structure of the house, enough to provide an opportunity for them to enter. If enough of them are able to enter, to further debilitate the structure, we have an "infection."

So, as with the house, we have the same two choices: the SWAT teams or the carpenters. Personally, I prefer the carpenters and, from my experience, it's a lot harder work and longer time fixing after the SWAT teams have beaten the place up, than it is if they haven't. The SWAT teams, of course, represent the ever more high-powered and toxic antibiotics we use when the body can't do its job. Too bad the current thinking is focused on bigger and more heavily armed SWAT teams, rather than supporting and supplementing the body so it can heal itself.

IT'S A TOXIC "STORM" OUT THERE

I believe that the buildup of toxic chemicals in the environment are constant "storms" that living bodies are battling every moment, with every breath, every bite of food and every drink of water. Because we choose not to acknowledge these "storms" for what they are in no way changes the outcome. We have a choice.

Recognizing these chemical and toxic forces IS the diagnosis, and we all have heard that diagnosis is 90 percent of the cure. The true test of a hypothesis is the success of its application, "the proof is in the pudding." This has, and continues to be, demonstrated in the outstanding success of this program. So, who would you rather have in your house? The carpenters or the SWAT team?

Trying to Fix a New Ferrari with Old Chevy Parts

With complete adherence to the feeding, thyroid supplementation if necessary, and Environmental Illness supplement protocol (using the COMPLETE protocol) antibiotic drug therapy, so far, has not been necessary, for restoration of health.

Violating the protocol with alfalfa, pelleted or extruded feeds, low protein grain mixes and those "fortified" with phosphate and sulfate chemical forms of minerals or not paying attention to the daily temperatures and thyroid protocol can mean the difference between a successful program and an unsuccessful one. Many old wives' tales and old feeding preferences still exist and are often a very emotional topic among horse owners. Even so, the ones that worked well for my grandfather will not work well for me now, because it's a different world out there, with different parameters and different factors affecting us.

For all practical purposes, we may as well be in a completely different latitude, elevation, weather pattern, etc., with a radically changed environment. That's how much the world has changed at the biochemical level since the invention of plastics, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, heavy metals, and solvent chemicals in the environment, both as active functional factors and as pollutant wastes.

It's a different planet now. Petty emotional responses about convenience and such that prevent new applications of successfully demonstrated principles that work, especially when the old ones don't, need to be eliminated. That goes for professionals of all levels as well as mainstream society. We either "buck up" or "drop out" and continue suffering and trying to manipulate obsolete mechanisms. These people are like automobile mechanics trying to fix a 1999 Ferrari with 1956 Chevy parts.

So, to not become as polarized and short-sighted as the "drop outs,"in denial and to include the possibility of a few Environmental Illness who don't follow the rules of Nature, I say to those of you with newly diagnosed EPM or other opportunistic infection horses who are not yet severely debilitated and in danger of eminent death beginning this program for the first time, "try the program for seven to ten days, or even two weeks to a month, without drug therapy and see how the horse does."

If you see no improvement, no stabilization, and a decline, you can always add the drugs later.

Normally, for those of you who are educating yourselves with this material, you will not wait until the disease is severe to do something about it, and a short time is not a crucial length of time to make a difference with any of the heavier antibiotic or antiprotozoals drug therapy anyway. We all wish that we could manipulate Mother Nature to the point of our ultimate conveniences in daily life, but She has her own ideas on that matter!

Vita Royal Recycles:
our green packaging

We use as much recycled materials for packaging as we can.

From shredded packing material, to reused packing material, to reused/recycled shipping boxes; we are doing our part to eliminate waste and reduce costs.

Through co-operative corporate relationships, these recycled materials come from other companies that receive products primarily for a retail sales floor, and they don't do much outbound shipping. These companies would ordinarily pay to process their packing waste by weight. Instead, we take that cost burden off their hands (and reduce our own costs) by simply reusing these materials.

We are proud to take part in corporate co-operative initiatives that ease the cost of doing business for the whole Vita Royal community.
